Carrieton Swimming Pool Mural

The final and biggest creative project which I undertook in Carrieton was painting a mural on their local swimming pool building. It took a little over one week and incorporates many of the native animals specific to the region as well as a few which are seen here since the time of settlers such as sheep. The aim was to make the pool brighter and more inviting for people passing by but mostly for the neighbouring children who go there to complete their VAC swimming course.

I would like to give a special thank you to the whole Carrieton community for choosing me to undertake this mural, the Rodeo and Cropping committees contributions, Carrol and Garry for putting me up during the project, and of course Shane and all of the Rowe family for supporting me throughout as I couldn't have done it without them.

I had great fun painting this one and I think out of all the animals the koala holding up the pools plaque is my favourite, how about yours . . . ?
