The letter book changed into a silent narrative about women traded for marriage, so the content is now a bit darker but some good spreads coming out of it . . .

Bald man and the fly

Finally got round to uploading my one-night animation

A short animation made illustrating Æsop Fables The Bald Man and the Fly.

THERE was once a Bald Man who sat down after work on a hot summer's day. A Fly came up and kept buzzing about his bald pate, and stinging him from time to time. The Man aimed a blow at his little enemy, but—whack—his palm came on his head instead; again the Fly tormented him, but this time the Man was wiser and said: "YOU WILL ONLY INJURE YOURSELF IF YOU TAKE NOTICE OF DESPICABLE ENEMIES."

Here's a trial print for a series I was hoping to do but might have to wait a little while, it's a 3 colour lino print of being in side a mountain valley. The test sheet for the final layer turned out pretty interesting too.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

Finished and sent off competition entry to design Little White Lies film magazine of the lead in the film Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, played by Gary Oldman. I decided to go with this look as the films filled with shaded suspicion and reflecting on clues so he looks away from the viewer deep in thought.

I was starting work on redesigning the thali cafe's logo but then received amendments to the brief so this piece has been abandoned half way, but might as well not leave it out of here all the same
