Leaving Autumn
This is a small personal project based on autumn. It's ended with 3 prints on each piece, each image being 6"x7.5" hand: drawn, etched and printed. The leaf skeleton prints each play with the use of autumn colours as well. Out of around 20 variations I think I might have found my favourite one so there may be some more consistent editions out after Christmas.

Fine Foods
Just completed and sent in a brief sent out by the The Trecherman's Guide for their 2012 cover design. To design a cover image to go around their text, and to encapsulate the best foods in the South-West. Although I did stray from the region a little bit . . . .

Food is Fun!
I've just entered Anorak Magazine's competition 'Food is Fun!'. This involves creating the most tastey lunch box design you can imagine. Mine came from the my well matured selection of cheese jokes.

I recently came across american illustrator/artist Sterling Hundley and am excited to share him with you all. His use of tone and composition is something that I greatly admire and is something I hope to see within my own work at some point in the future. I strongly suggest having your own look.

The Bloody Chamber
I have recently started work on this years Folio Society competition for which I'm illustrating three stories from Angela Carter's 'The Bloody Chamber'. This is several classic stories/tales revisited with a sinister twist. The competition is based on illustrations for the stories 'the bloody chamber', 'puss in boots' and 'the company of wolves'.
. . . here's a few starting points and will see where these go.

New Prints
I've been pretty busy over summer . . . just not with work!
However, in starting autumn with a leap I already have a few projects and ideas buzzing around.
Meanwhile I have found time to produce some more high quality giclée prints. The prints are going for the same price (£20 inc. P&P) Each print can fit an A4 frame alone and with the card mount I've cut for them they fit nicely into A3 frames. Although of course I can resize on request but they might take a while.

Memento III Show
This is a collaboration piece between myself and Harry Haysom. The poster design is for an exhibition of the Memento project I was part of late last year. I've taken up the task of organising the Bristol show and although it will only hold one of my pieces running this thing is definitely teaching me a few things.
The Memento project is currently in its 3rd year of running,
it is where all students from several art institutes across
the globe each make a print based piece based on the theme
of mementos and remembrance.
Each students piece was an edition of the original and therefore
has been sent to each of the institutes involved, so that the same
show will be shown internationally around the same time.
Although the space we have got is a fair size it can only hold so many so
it will be an edited version but a spread across the different countries and styles.
Open to the public and running from 16th-19th June 2011
the grand opening on Friday 17th 7pm-9pm

Blind Book
Alongside the colour spreads I also made two dummy books out of the project, both leather, hand-bound books had the images embossed into the pages; one book with print offs of the image roughs, and the other with not prints but purely embossed.

Swimming in the Deep End
Result of a 24 hour workshop on making a single panel multiple narrative. The original was supposed to be more flat colours so I quickly realised that in photoshop (quality is pretty poor but quick)
I tried to get as many interactions going on between each of the characters, and nearly every one is doing something - look closely!

New project based on H.G. Wells 'The Country of the Blind'
Got a few different ideas on media so will be updating more as they come.

Please contact if would be interested in a screen print of this image. I am thinking of doing it for myself but doing a few more for others would be a good incentive to print them sooner.

Bas Relief
I'm playing with the relief technique to be used in my next project. At the moment the paintings aren't near ready yet but I like the depth of these so thought it put up some pretentious arty tests.
